The wise see through things, therefore they do not contend;
睿智者看得透，故不爭；

The magnanimous think things through, therefore they do not fight;
豁達者想得開，故不鬥；

The enlightened understand the will of Heaven, therefore they are not hasty;
得道者曉天意，故不急；  
                                                      
The virtuous value humility, therefore they are not noisy;
厚德者重謙和，故不噪；

The reasonable let go, therefore they are not obsessed;
明理者放得下，故不癡；

The confident are willing to work hard, therefore they do not make mistakes;
自信者肯努力，故不誤；

The righteous make friends with people all over the world, therefore they are not lonely;
重義者交天下，故不孤；

The sentimental are indifferent to fame and fortune, therefore they are not alone.
重情者淡名利，故不獨；

本人在佛光山人間佛教修持近四十年，深刻體悟到:吾人身處世間,對於榮華富貴、名利財富與成敗得失的價值觀應建立在以下正確認知

(1) 榮華花間露，富貴草上霜；既生不帶來，亦死不帶去；
得意時不驕傲，失意時不氣餒，不需在意成敗與得失；
(2)《金剛經》曰：「一切有為法，如夢幻泡影，如露亦如電，應作如是觀。」
(3) 世間法中功名利祿如夢幻泡影，如露亦如電，雖看似美好，但卻不長久;看似真實，其實虛假，對於榮華富貴與貧窮貴賤應該以平常心看待之。
(4) 吾人對於人事物之處世態度應秉持如行雲般自在，像流水般灑脫，才能無入而不自得，人生也才能瀟灑走一回。
